Christmas is well over, the tinsel should come down tomorrow on January 6th, Epiphany; the hangovers and gorging of Nochevieja - New Year's Eve should finally have subsided and while we await the Three Kings Parade this evening, signalling even more presents in Spain for the little ones, what about those pesky resolutions, nearly forgotten just a few days later?

Well, for lovers of beauty, food, wine and sunshine, there is a simple resolution which is easy to keep. Let's get out and about and see more of the beauty that is Almeria - it is simple to do, fun, life-enriching and gets everybody out enjoying themselves out in the sunshine - combined with our stunning landscapes, incredible gastronomy and rich and diverse Andalusian culture. This resolution will not be broken, promise. Why not make it yours...
So, I have resolved:
To see more dolphins and to spot a whale if at all possible. Tick.
Get out onto the ocean waves on a private yacht with a few friends. Tick.
See the world famous Lorca Semana Santa Easter processions - A parade like no other. Tick.
Watch one of the best Carnivals known to Spain, just up the road from us. Tick.
Eat and drink lots of wonderful, fresh, local, Almeria produce. Tick.
Enjoy the diverse historic monuments in Almeria City, Lorca, Murcia, Cartagena et al. Tick.
