Saint Patrick's Day in Lorca

Yes, curious as it may seem, 'tis true, me little leprachaun. In a remote corner of Spain in Lorca, Murcia, St Patrick's Day is celebrated with relish, dancing and the raising of both the Spanish and Irish flags in honour of a battle won on 17th March , 1452. Since then the ties were knotted. The Lorcans named their most important church, San Patricio in honour of this especially lucky day for them. A special day, mixed with Spanish and Irish honour and a few Guinesses thrown in! Secret Spain trip exclusive to Costa Almeria Tours. See our tour page for more information here
